WHAT YOU SHOULD ABOUT STARTING YOUR NEW WEBSITE

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT STARTING A HOME INTERNET BUSINESS

There are currently millions of websites today promoting Home-based Internet businesses. This is kind of confusing to a lot of people, as many of these sites promise that you will start making money as soon as your site is set up and running. What they usually don’t say is that when you have a website, you need traffic, and a lot of traffic in order to make any sales and possibly get returning customers. I started my own website on 12/31/06 and I have learned a lot since then. I am writing this article for those who may want to start a home business. Here is what happened.

I paid for the website/Hosting on 12/31. My new website was up and running within 2 days. But I never had any visitors for about 15 days because my domain did not show up on google search engine yet. Additionally, I had a lot to learn from the training I received from the Web business I registered with. I am not complaining about it because I learned a lot. I wasn’t some “Internet or computer geek you know”. Before that I used to go on the computer every evening to read e-mail and surf the Internet blindly. The reason I decided to do a search on home business ideas was because I had made an attempt to get a second job for about 9 months without success and I was also tired of the commute and the pressure from my primary job. Honestly, I hate being watched – what time I come in, how many breaks I take, and what time I leave. My monthly income (plus my wife’s) is just enough to pay for the mortgage and the bills. I was tired of it. So I took a dive. To cut the long story shot here is what any prospective/new Internet entrepreneur should know:

When you decide to set up a website, with whatever/whichever subscriber, it will take more than two weeks for your website to show up on google or yahoo. You have to personally submit your URL to these and many other websites before you can be seen on the Internet.
When your site finally appears on the scene, and before it appears, you should know that in order for your site to appear on the first page of the “first search page” you have to have what is called “links” in the web lingo. I learned that. There are several ways you can make sure about that. One of the ways is to make sure you register with a lot of directories. If you are not into directories, go into Articles, like I am doing now. At first I thought, me!!! Writing articles? But the last few months. I have learned a lot. This is not my last article. It is about my personal experience. I should finish about it. So I went to work on my links.
Working on the links takes patience. You have to be motivated. You don’t need quick cash the way some people say. Pick up some strategy, If you want to buy traffic from different companies that promise you will get 30,000 visitors per month, or companies that promise you to send 1,000,000 e-mails to “opt-in e-mail customers”. It is not enough. But don’t fall prey to these companies. There are natural ways to build links to your new website, like writing articles. Like this one – which is from personal experience. There is a lot of this I can say. But I want to save it for another time, because I am still learning. Keep watching.
One other thing. You can also build links by submitting directly to directories. If you need details, visit me at www. http://www.theophilustures.com/

As I promised, you caught me in the middle of a learning process. I will keep writing about my learning experiences: http://www.theophilustures.com/
